Community Protocol Access and Benefit Sharing Workshop
This workshop was organised by Sabah Biodiversity Centre and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on the 24th November 2015 at Le Meridien Hotel, Kota Kinabalu and attended by 65 participants from various ethnic groups, local communities and government agencies. The objective of this workshop was to spread the awareness and understanding of the protocol involve in Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) and to identify the local communities' stand and preference once the state ABS law is regulated. The speakers include Sabah Biodiversity Centre, Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and BC Initiative.

If you have submitted your access licence application before March 2015 and expecting the result of your application, kindly email us at firstname.lastname@example.org by using an alternative email provider so that we can deliver the status of your access licence application to you through the alternative email or you may contact your local collaborator. We are in the midst of resolving this issue.
If you are yet to submit your application to SaBC, it is advisable to provide us with an alternative email address for correspondence purposes until we resolve this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Cell-based Screening of Sabah's Natural Products
The State Government of Sabah through Sabah Biodiversity Centre (SaBC) has signed an agreement with AvantiCell AsiaPacific Sdn. Bhd. (AvantiCell AP) on 24th November 2014 in Kota Kinabalu for cell-based screening of Sabah’s natural products. This project is a continuation of the SaBC and Universiti Malaysia Sabah project entitle “Unlocking Sabah’s Marine and Terrestrial Biotechnological Potential”.
